Chapter 8's reading is about happiness. It was odd reading this article at first because I never encountered such a thing. Most of the times, these are topics that people talk about with each other; specially when having those 'life talks'. It was interesting being able to differentiate within other countries and their level of happiness. There are different ways that happiness can be rooted from and there ways that happiness needs restraints and or in ways of indulging is a way of happiness.

Growing up in another country, I've always thought it was never necessary to have anything luxery. I did not grow up to be materialistic at all. Coming to America where everyone judged themselves to the T was too overwhelming over me. It was a weird transition from being carefree, not thinking about money, not thinking about getting old or dying. Everything has its own time and place.

Look at America, in the article they asked what makes you happy? Will money make you up? Collaborate? And, in the video, it was so interesting how people in American kept indicating was heels and money. It's sad to where we are now, it is literally back at base one all over again.
