If I had to give a name to the class we
have this week, I would say self discovery. Class began with a game “who am I”.
In the game, we were assigned a name which everybody else can see it except
ourselves. So we didn’t know who we were. We tried to ask other questions to
figure it out. Unfortunately, I were a person who nobody knew even they saw the
name. I thought in our real lives. If nobody knows you, you can introduce
yourself to them just like we did here in US. But what about even you don’t
know who you are? That is the important of self discovery.
And
later on, we tried to defined ourselves as culturally diverse people by writing
eight words describing us. I was going in the personal characteristic
direction. So I didn’t write down anything like Chinese, student, etc. And
actually I just filled in three circles. Am I a sporty person? I won’t usually start
a game, but I will never want to ends it once a game started. I actually enjoy
sport. Am I a hardworking person? I kept asking myself this kind of question.
And I find myself always changing when being with different people. Finally, I
did write down three words: experience, adventure and music. At least those are
something I am sure.
