Chapter 9 Response_Michael

        In chapter 9, there is the topics discussed about the organization culture of companies in many different countries. The chapter points out that power distance and uncertainty avoidance has been applied in creating organization culture in company. French companies  have full bureaucracy of the working process which attributes to low uncertainty avoidance and high power distance in contrast to different Chinese organization that have more simple structures and directly supervise which is considered high power distance, but is high uncertainty avoidance. The French and Chinese companies in this instance would have different structures no matter what because of the cultural differences.  Chinese like to put all the power on to one person who control and operate the entire enterprise. In another instance, German enterprises have professional bureaucracy that contain the characteristics of the German ideal such as community and efficiency. Different companies run by different cultures strive for growth in different areas such as fiscally or structural or network growth.
