Response to chapter 12 Ryo Tanitsu

The reading of the chapter 12 is about cultural evolution. The reading mainly describes how culture evolves and the original nature of the humans beings affect the human’s modern lifestyle such as business, technology and politics.
In the current time, we are connected with each other throughout the world as the technology evolves. We can talk with each other on the Internet,  we can see what’s happening at the other side of the earth by watching news on TV and we can travel all over the world at a cheaper price and at a faster time.
I think that culture has evolved through communication with different value or background. By learning others’ good point and bad point, we developed each cultural system.
I personally learned a lot through interaction from people from different background for this one year. I have been raised for 21 years in Japan and I did not have much opportunities to communicate with foreigners since Japan is a homogeneous country. However, one-year life in here has me gain different value and ideas that will be the base of my future life.
So, I believe that people can develop through communication with different people as an individual level of culture and as a result culture develop.
Of course, the interaction with others may happen conflict, however, in the long term, it can be overcomed, and we human beings develop.
