Reaction Chapter 9

I think Kira and Yukari did a great job leading class discussion on Friday! The activity that involved us describing our best birthday surprise was really interesting because it allowed all of us to see what would genuinely make us happy, as well as the ways that other people view happiness. It was kind of difficult to plan Murillo's birthday party, especially in comparison to planning our own because we had to imagine what types of things would make someone else happy. This was also notable because we then had to decide what would be the best vacation between our own choice and those of two other classmates. I thought that this activity was a really great way to look into ourselves and try to decide what truly makes us happy, and how that happiness is never going to be identical to what makes someone else happy.
