This week's reading is regarding towards "uncertainty avoidance" which is about how some certain countries (for example: China, Korea, and Japan) place a strong hold on their county and limit their people on many things and in many levels. This uncertainty avoidance is usually practice by countries who are anxious. Most of these countries are usually regimes or dictatorships. For example, looking at China, it is a communist country and it's government not only place a strong lock on its people with basically almost ALL rights, but it avoids outside connection. They fight to avoid western ideas from implementing their people. If it were to be the case, they are scared that their government (specially since it is a dictatorship/communist) might be overthrown by the people. If they continue to "avoid" all possible things, then there is more security. But, that is the problem, there is too many uncertainties that avoiding the problem can only do so much.
If we were to look at this in retrospect, uncertainty avoidance in a bigger picture and a more broad topic can be applied to everyone. I can consider myself to be slight a person who has "symptoms" of uncertainty avoidance. I do worry about my future, because I know what and how to get there, I take extra precautions and do all that I can to get there. But. life plans and goals are never set. These are dreams, therefore, with great uncertainty I stress and will do all that I can to avoid the problems that will cause these uncertainties.
