Week 2 Reaction

I thought that the game that we played in class yesterday was a great activity--especially for a class such as this one. It seemed to help break the ice between all of the classmates and was a fun way for everyone to participate. I really liked how this activity put into perspective the ways that language and cultural cues can be a major barrier for people who are unfamiliar with languages other than their own. I think especially for someone like myself, who has only lived in the United States, it was enlightening to see how difficult it can be to live or spend a large amount of time in a country where you are unable to clearly express yourself or understand others. I really enjoy the format of this class and I am looking forward to all of the other things I will learn throughout the semester.
