Week 2 Response- Margo

I enjoyed the basic premise of Chapter 2, but I didn't particularly like the format used for this section. This is probably because I am definitely not a numbers person, and therefore didn't really enjoy all of the statistics and the way that the Value Surveys Modules (35) were put together.  I still was interested in the material included and especially liked the IBM Research and the way that it showed the different dimensions that people in different corporations found to be important and unimportant. I also thought that the Big Five classifications listed on page 39 were good indicators of other types of personality and cultural behaviors that can be expounded upon from this short list. However, these are obviously showing opposite ends of the spectrum, and not the factors in between. All in all, I found the chapter to be interesting, but I am looking forward to fewer tables and more descriptions through words rather than numbers :)
