The chapter 2 focus on the "research methods", this chapter mentioned a lot of cases and research methods, such as the correlation and paradigm, the author also provided some examples to explain how to use various approaches to apply to the researches. Actually, I have used the correlation method to analysis my research project through the excel when I have taken a course of sociology in Macau, the correlation is one of the popular research method and it reflected the strength of relationship easily between two different variables. Moreover, most of researchers will adopt the research method in research project, it improved the efficiency and accuracy.
Additionally, the author listed the different cases of researches, the GLOBE, Chinese Value Survey and European Value Survey, I don't realize all the details of those cases actually. I argued that the cases of IBM and a business school in Switzerland was a special one, it showed the similar result of them and that was the trend of cosmopolitan circumstance - the raise of globalization, this result was quite interesting, it showed the reality of intercultural society and community, people should pay more attention to understand various culture of different places.
I believed that those researches of methods were useful to our research, but we have to spend some time to find a specific one. I also looking forward to the class tomorrow, the class will have some interesting activities.
